About Pump Gravity

Pump engineering tools, built around the quantities the work actually uses.

Vision

To be the world's leading pump engineering platform, empowering engineers with advanced tools, intelligent insights, and trusted knowledge to create lasting value for industry and society.

Mission

Our mission is to deliver intuitive calculators, precise converters, practical engineering tools, news and articles that make pump engineering faster, smarter, and more accessible for engineers worldwide.

Pump Gravity

Why this site exists

The unit tools everyone reaches for were not built for pumps. Ask one for a flow rate and it is fine. Ask for NPSH, differential head or suction pressure in the units a datasheet uses, and you end up assembling the answer out of a length and a pressure — losing precision on the way.

So the pump quantities came first here, and the general ones followed. The site is new, it is free, and it is still being built. We would rather say that than pretend otherwise.

What is on the site

Ten pump calculators

Affinity laws, power, efficiency, specific speed, impeller trim, differential head and pressure, density and viscosity — each showing the formula it uses.

Fifty-three converters

Across thirty-two categories, including NPSH, head, suction pressure and vapour pressure as categories in their own right.

A whiteboard you arrange

Pull the calculators and converters you actually use onto one canvas, and find the layout there next time.

Articles and a newsroom

Field-level engineering writing, and industry news read for what it means for rotating equipment.

64-digit arithmetic

Conversions are computed as exact decimals and rounded once, so a value survives the round trip instead of drifting.

Free, no account

Every calculator and every converter is open on arrival. Nothing to sign up for, nothing behind a plan.

Our commitment

Every number here comes from a formula shown on the page. Where a calculation depends on an assumption — a reference temperature, a gauge or absolute basis — the page says so rather than letting you find out later.

And no feature is described before it is built. No invented user counts, no borrowed logos. If you find something that does not hold up, tell us and we will fix it.
